Core 2 Intense X9000
A Quick Intel Core2Extreme X9000 Stress Test
07/28/2011 Before I say something right here, I am not staying sponsored by the makers of the software package I am about to drool all above! LOL Enjoy Rightmark CPU Clock Utility. Decreases voltage to the CPU for much less electrical power consumption and much less heat generation… Without having this software regulating my CPU, I had temps going as hot as 171F/77C!! Do not like! But with this software program and dropping the CPU voltage, large load puts out a moderate ~135F/57C.. Which is about what the previous CPU put out at its highest load. That, and you can have electrical power over what multiplier your CPU uses, which basically implies you have complete management of what speed your CPU is operating at any provided time if you so wish. Just never undervolt the CPU at a offered multiplier or you may end up with a bluescreen, as I quickly discovered

@TheStereoPryde cpu.rightmark [dot] org/products/rmclock.shtml — Sorry to say, but scroll down to the section that says “Supported Platforms: CPU” … Pentium Mobile procs aren’t in the list.
@AK49BWL oh please dont even tell me that :s u have to help me…
mine is : Acer Aspire 5741ZG
@TheStereoPryde It’s possible that Rightmark is not able to change anything on your computer’s chipset. Certain computers are locked into their configurations, unfortunately. What computer do you have?
Can you help me? or somebody? i have an Intel ( dual core ) p6000 and rightmarkclock doesnt recognize..
please help
@williamblair11 Not bad, I have the Q6600 OC’d to 3Ghz, but I don’t really do much gaming (my brother played The Force Unleashed once on it, and it ran really well for that on the game’s highest settings), but I’ve heard many good things about it so long as you have the right graphics card(s) to match the power… I do mostly video and picture editing on it, and it’s really good for that, I can definitely say. I hear a lot about the E8400, mostly good things about its overclocking ability.
@AK49BWL I’m sorry dude .I don’t know much about the extreme series cpu’s and I never knew it was a laptop one either.I originally thought because it was ‘Extreme’ it was really powerful….I’m still on the core series as well with my E8400 and I love it .ive got it OC’d to 3.8Gh and I don’t see any reason to upgrade it at all.My chip does everything iv ever asked of it and more.Hows the C2Q with games and stuff??
@williamblair11 Especially considering the following:
X9000/E8400
2.8Ghz/3Ghz
800Mhz FSB/1333Mhz FSB
Laptop/Desktop
Really no contest here haha!
@williamblair11 The X9000 is also a mobile processor.. It’s only understandable that a desktop CPU would outperform it lol.
@AK49BWL Sorry dude ,I just looked up the benchmarks and apparently my E8400 is kinda stronger than the C2E X9000.
@williamblair11 Haha! I really don’t know how they compare, as I have yet to make the jump up from the Core2 series. My newest desktop computer still runs a Core2Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz… And truth be told, the X9000 nearly outperforms the Q6600 in terms of video rendering.. A 3-minute HD720p video being rendered with identical settings into WMV format, and the laptop with its X9000 only took 32 seconds longer than the desktop with the Q6600.. If that’s not a show of its capabilities… lol
@AK49BWL Can u put your X9000 in the post to me and i’ll send u my C2Duo E8400…….
What’ya think .Fair swap???? Lol!!!
No seriously ..Sick CPU dude.I really do want one..How does this compare to the Intel I7 series chips???
@AK49BWL Oh ok thanks anyway.
@DcFXC Rightmark may not be 64-bit compatible. if that’s the case, then there’s not much I can do.
I can’t run the right mark programme on my 64bit laptop can you help?
When you go into the m1530 BIOS do you have an option to change the multiplier on the X9000 for overclocking? The XPS m1730 BIOS supports overclocking the X9000 up to 3.2GHz. I’m curious if the m1530 BIOS enables this option with an X9000 installed.
I have an m1530 with the T9300, and if I could get an X9000 for the right price and OC it to around 3GHz I may just keep it for a while before buying a new laptop.
@jimiliborah What happens if you don’t apply thermal paste on the new cpu when you put it in your laptop? I currently have a Dell XPS M1530 as well and if i were to remove the Core 2 Duo and put the Core 2 Extreme in without applying thermal paste, what’s the worst that could happen? Thanks!
…and loving the irony in your comment, you sure are a smart one!
@sleepyboyproduction what do you mean 6 year old, it was a joke about another users boastful comment, fuck off x
@sepiasilence age means nothing, 6 year old.
@sleepyboyproduction it was a joke and that post is over 2 years old, prick
@sepiasilence and yet your brain is still non existent….
i have the same laptop – 3 years, it started up in 12 seconds one the first day, now it takes 5 minutes 3 years later, mine is high end….
that is slow and the computer is NOT high end
my laptop boots that fast and it even has to boot up the camera bc it logs in with a visual or a password
if i change the cpu that mean i must change my mobo right
run memory ddr800??
Oh… I thought it was. Whatever. That is a nice background, though!
background comes wit vista ultimate only, but can be dowloaded if needed.
slows,mine boots up faster @ core 2 quad 2.40Ghz
that background does not come with vista
Its pointless to say “Still SLOW” like an ignorant jackass. He has a great setup. Computers are not all about booting up lightning fast. He probably hasnt even tweaked the services on that computer and its still got a good boot time.
Still SLOW
how dld u get mobile cpu? where did u buy it? did u upgrade it yourself?
yes u can but dont buy it on dell
I have same xps. T5850, 4 gigs, 8600m GT. My question: Could I upgrade to a T9300 without overheating my laptop?
I think that’s one of the ones that comes with Vista, so if you have Vista, you should already have it on your computer.
