Amd Athlon Ii
AMD Athlon II X2 215 Gaming Pc Create
A small video briefly showing me constructing this Personal computer. The machine is practically nothing specific at all seeing that I am attempting to preserve money but required an upgrade from a single core pentium 4. Had a number of troubles with the camera I was using with the sound so you will run into that. If you have any concerns really feel free to send me a message. *note: I place way less strain on the cpu than the actual heatsink does. –RIG– CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 215 PSU: 650 Watt GPU: XFX GTX 260 Black Edition RAM OCZ Gold Edition DDR2 800 Dual Channel 4GB Motherboard: Biostar MCP6P M2+ Situation: Thermatake Black Widow Tough Drive: 80GB 7200rpm SATA Xfire – gunnergrant steam – gunnergrant12

@mvdav10 I just clocked mine (old processor) at 3.3Ghz the noob way with 245Mhz FSB and 1333Mhz all auto timings on RAM. Ran stable 24 hours prime95, and temps at idle is just 28 to 30 degrees, and 40 to 45 degrees at full load. I didn’t increase my voltages, but I’m happy with it. It’s just cooled by an old athlon 64 quad-copper heat pipe cooler.
idiot
By the way. I never applied more pressure to that CPU than the CPU cooler would.
Dont push on the CPU it can brake
You may be experienced but it wasn’t informative at all. And the products are delicate they way u were handling them could’ve broken it. Surpringly luck was on your side.
I have an amd phenom x2 215 processor (2x 2.71) Is that good too?
did you ever get that CPU overclocked. I have the same processor and i’ve been trying to get it overclocked but idk how and if it’ll let me.
you never have to put yor finger ON the CPU… your corporal grease will take down the thermal disipation eficiency of the CPU
great video. perfect for anyone on a budget! and thanks for the thermal cooling tips.
@gunnergrant12 Yeah, you have an i7 now, right? Very nice. The 215 is obviously an ultra low end dual core, sitting between the Celerons and Pentiums in performance terms. I wish I could go with an Intel motherboard and a Sandy Bridge CPU! Next year maybe!
@PurpleHoneyBear I no longer use this one. I was playing Halo 1 and 2 and also cod4 on it. It cried when I tried to play MW2 on it.
@PlayerUnkown The Arctic Silver? That’s exactly what I just ordered from the egg. I hear it’s the best compound on the market. It bothers me that it was $4.99 with $6.99 shipping though! You know something Satanic and untoward is going on when the shipping is more than the cost of the item itself. But it’s worth it apparently!
What games do you play on this rig, grant? I have the same processor. I’m upgrading to either a Deneb or Propus.
I am actually building a new rig based on parts from my SFF system. I will be placing the 215 into the new motherboard until I can upgrade to a quad in a couple months. But overall performance will increase drastically because I’m going from the worst onboard video solution to a GTS 250 1GB. In addition, I’m adding 2GB RAM totaling 5GB. Also adding a 600w Corsair PSU.
@gunnergrant12 Yeah, the video is informative btw but you really shouldn’t have pushed the CPU that way
@AnnoyingOrangeFan12 The cpu heatsink puts a lot more downward force on the cpu than I ever did btw.
this guy’s a noob, look at how he ravagely pushes the cpu to the motherboard… so sad
@Jhapskie26 just go to the website and download them dumb ass
@davidcrowder1234
and i must live with win 98 with 14 years (not enough money)
