It works great!,
It worked so well, I upgraded to the Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2Ghz. I haven’t built my own computer for years and the perfomance improvement from my old machine P4 3.1 was so drastic…the geek bug bit me! So I bought another motherboard GA-870A-USB3 (I’m a Gigabyte fan)and the 6 core AMD. If you can afford it…go six core! But for the whole week I had the quad…I was smilin. AMD is GREAT. I use my machine for film editing, and the speed increase was dramatic.

Great CPU, I had a Athlon 7850 which was a 2.8GHz Dual-core Black Edition. The temps ranged from 40c-50c. After upgrading I notice not only the performance boost but my temps are as low as 23-30c, very rare that it reaches 32c.
My only con is that I orderred from Newegg, they were only selling the CPU but excluding the fan & heatsink. After tax the price is the same as here but you get everything.

|Superb CPU,
I have been using this quad core since last one year now, and I am very happy with the performance. I use my PC for online gaming, watching movie videos, do my office work and lotsa other stuff. I got a decent graphic card as well, so overall the performance for gaming is awsm.
