Keith, you must be new to this! The fan that you put ontop of the chip has the thermal paste already on it!! LOL

@SATANECRONOMICUS Yeah its a pretty nice board for the price but i would suggest going for a DDR3 board if you can afford it. I have not had any problems with this board since ive built the computer.
I plan on building a relatively mid-grade system. I plan to use a phenom II X4 processor, and 2 HD 4890s . Would anyone recommend this motherboard for that setup?? It is decently priced.

Grate value CPU its better then an Athlon but not a Phenom Black do to lak of L3 cashe but i got mine for 75 New hell of a deal

@russianspy52 This board can change the GHZ of the CPU not the cores. If its a 3 core you cant change it to a 4 core. You would be better off getting a black edition x4 and unlocking it. good luck thanks for commenting.
can this board unlock cores? Im thinking about going cheep and getting an X3 and unlocking it to an X4 can it do that?

@5that1dude5 Yes you can record at descent levels of FPS with fraps. no lag at all.
Hey i was thinking of about buying this CPU, my intentions are for Let’s Plays and music editing, converting etc. Could I record with FRAPS and still maintain a decent FPS in game (assuming optimal GPU and HDD config) aiming for 40 to 50 fps on modern games.
