The State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund recently announced that it has awarded $ three million to Austin Engineering Incubator (ATI) member organization Firefly LED Lighting for merchandise commercialization.

Power market regulators in the United States and throughout the world are phasing out incandescent and fluorescent lighting in favor of LED (light-emitting diode) technologies to save power costs and lessen environmental impact. Firefly LED Lighting products are more energy efficient and lengthier lasting than traditional lighting, lowering customer charges by more than 80 % for energy and 96 % for upkeep and increasing ROI with a rapid payback.

Firefly LED Lighting items offer a 32 % reduction in temperature, 48 % increase in thermal conductivity, an up to 223 % enhance in surface place, and up to 40K hours of light output, along with additional light and motion sensors and controls.
