Newegg Tv: Introducing the Intel Sandy Bridge Socket 1155 Platform
www.newegg.com At final, Intel has released the details of their new Socket 1155 computing platform! This platform has been anticipated by many for a lengthy time, and is currently identified by its code name, “Sandy Bridge”. We sat down with Intel FAE Paul Canaan, who took us via an explanation of the CPU microarchitecture and the corresponding H67 and P67 chipsets. Our Q&A resolves some burning questions, this kind of as the naming conventions, whether or not unlocked versions will be readily available (yes, the “K” version is unlocked), and what the functions of the H67 and P67 chipset variations will be (see the video for much more data). Take pleasure in the video, and keep tuned for more Sandy Bridge movies above the following week! – Credits – Camera, Editing Lam Talking: Paul Particular Guest: Paul Canaan, Intel Field Applications Engineer

Even if it’s older, the point is that you get more performance/price when you build a PC
OFC the i7 will be better than a 2year old Xeon (especially if you’re only using one) and it’s a cheaper solution. You’re also comparing the OSs and all kinds of shit.
The solution really is a Hackintosh as you get the performance, price and Mac OSX!
My I7 Mac OSX Lion Hackintosh If anyone interested in buying go to my channel for the link!!!
@fnnr1stefan This guy has no really specs to validate anything realistic, just a video not showing much of anything. I know.. I’ll record a video of a cat and dog and say a turtle is quicker then both and add blur effects to the video and include a chart that compare heart rate and life expectancy to prove absolutely nothing..
i7 really, why not compare a i7 Mac Pro like PC Magazine had?
That’s like comparing Pentium 4 to a Core duo or Core 2 duo.. lol.. Try again!
Oh for fuck’s sake. Stop the Mac vs PC debate. There are more important things going on in this world. A computer is a computer.
@SPAZZY1912 I know, I said that in my comment..
@monej
it is a mac pro and they use xeon processors, the imacs use the i7 or i5
This is not really a Mac vs PC debate. But I see why people would confuse it with that.. It’s more of a CPU debate really. Xeon’s are old “server” CPU’s whereas the i7 2600 are fairly new CPU’s. The description is very wrong. It should be i7-2600 vs Xeon, Not vs Mac Pro..
They have i7 CPU’s in the new iMacs, so you would be better of testing this with an i7 quad core iMac than a Mac Pro Quad Xeon.
mac-n-crack
who has a mac knows that the experiment that this guy made is a fake….
lol all this mac and pc fighting just weeks before Jobs death
cooltest, thanks buddy!
@goldenboyfx124 try a pair of these in a mac pro and then comment
anyone know the dfference between a core i3 2120 and a core i7 2600 since their both running about 3.3 ghz?
@1256sonic lol i’m happy with my i7 2600 (non k) i won’t overclock anyways,, i always bought parts with overclocking in mind.. but i never did it actually xD yeah slight bits.. but then test, and turn it down again.. but eh.. i7 2600 destroys the amd 8 core cpu’s in the applications i use and eh gaming
i would be CRAZY to think this CPU would go into my HP SR2172NX…………..
@Mehcide LOL sorry CPU hierarchy chart
@BronzeApples Sorry brah we’re talking about cpus
@Mehcide Look at a GPU Hierarchy chart.
@BronzeApples Proof?
@Mehcide LOL no… AMD doesn’t have ONE CPU that can compare with the 2500k
@cooki3saber I just got a free motherboard with a fx 8120
@1256sonic Ummmm the fx competes with the 2500k the 2600k is $300 compared to 200 for the 8120 or 8150 ($240) and according to passmark the 8120 and 8150 Beat the 2500k which costs $230 so how is that inefficient power per price?
@MrSteveenn great, i have the asusp8z68-v pro/gen3 with my gtx580 sc
and it’s awesome
it’s good to see people to go after the best a chipset that support the integrated graphics card may come in handy someday
@yousefALyazedi i have a gtx 560 2gb right now, i think ive settled on getting the z68 though…
@MrSteveenn you will not need the integrated graphics if you will buy something like a gtx580-570 so go with the p67 if the price matter for you.
im going to buy an i7-2600k soon, and im wondering what chipset to buy, either p67 or z68, which should i get
Going to be running skyrim, bf3, diablo 3, gta 4, etc…
if you want views that badly download a few botnets and use nods and VirtualBox its called hacking views how many IPs comes you have on 1 PC 25 or if you crazy sit down and make 500 emails and takes 2 houres to set up your VirtualBox to spem message you have pe made or do the fast way botnets and add views from a non youtube site a ghost web or web sites ones that say? you have been hack by ???? you get what im saying you want crazy views and want to lie to your self to look big do as i say
didnt know kumar was working for intel xD
@iAmazedU
Anyone of the possessors with hyper threading will do like the i7 2600K.
so im gonna build my own pc with a $1000 budget, anyone got any tips?
Intel is great. The best out there. But….I would only run Intel if I had to run missile guidance systems or life support technology. Maybe if I had to run systems for a space. But AMD is cheaper, does the job, and holds the title of highest overclock ever for any silicon processor. I can afford Intel parts but I see no point in getting them for normal computing or overclocking. They do make way way way way way way cooler looking parts for Intel stuff. Same 4 ATI. Nvidia is the Intel of GPU’s
