Critique: Intel Pentium Dual Core E5400
Searching for a new CPU from intel beneath a hundred dollars? The Intel Pentium Dual Core is a entry-mainstream CPU that is underneath one hundred dollars. Clocked at two.7GHz, this is a dual core processor that is strong adequate to meet up to your day-to-day computing needs. The pentium dual core series has a related functionality compared to the Core2Duo just that they have a smaller cache dimension. It is certainly a very good selection for those who desires to stay on the Intel game and want something much more competitive compared to AMD processors. Intel 64 allows you to run this processor with a 64bit operating technique. With each other with speedstep technological innovation, this ensures that the power usage is optimized in a globe that focuses on green power and power efficiency. No point going to a really effective processor that utilizes a lot of electrical power but only to use it to standard computing job such as internet browsing and word processing. 65w of TDP assures that you have an overall cool processor that is quite overclockable to even larger frequency, so as to unleash the concealed possible of the processor. A really very good processor from intel priced properly. I have to say that this is a very very good processor that will genuinely meet your expectations of a mainstream platform pc.

@Renax111 that makes since. thanks
@jessicaburciagishot it’s youtube. They can’t play vids higher than 30 fps, if they could run 60 u would see it
I find it cool that you can get that much of a OC on air, was not incline with these cpu’s being able to.
My e6500 wolf does around 110FPS at stock speeds and a 5770
How did you get a e5200 to 3.9GHZ dude? The FSB is Doo Doo dude.
i dont really see any difference bro
Im thinking if i should overclock this to 3.3 or at last 3.0 is there any risk?

@TheKnightSolaris ok Thanks
@King0fSpad3z If you OC it up to 4 GHz Yes…Anyways I recommend AMD if you’re going on budget.
5 DOLLA
Does this work good for gaming?
Hey can you show me how to overclock this?
Yes if you need more cache and more cores for certain games.
oh sorry forgot to say ive got 460gtx 1gb, and ill be using this mostly for gta 4
hi, i have a e5400 cpu overclocked to 4.0ghz, should i get a q9400 (i will be overclocking) is it worth it
thanks
the best intel pentium dual core processors r intel pentium dula core e6700 and e6800 they are better than intel core 2 duo e7500 and cheaper than it>>>
can i ask? are intel pentium dual cpu e2180. and intel pentium dual core e2180 are the same? or which is better?
@LeaveNoEvident i know ’bout that BUT, i abhve 2 monitors so, i open GTA IV or any other game in one monitor, and in the oher monior i open CPU-Z, it’s always a 1280,9mhz and x6.0
@GogiRB its call power saving mode , I have a core 2 duo E6700 2.66 GHZ but it shows it runing at 1.6 GHZ all the time . Its not because your processor don’t support the motherboard, it depends on the work load you give to the processor . Try playing a game or opening up programs and you will see the speed goes back up.
Yes, I bought an E5400 in late April 2010, and fitted it in an ASUS P5KPL-AM/GB motherboard, with 4-gigs of 800MHz DDR RAM. Thanks to the stepping technology it ‘idles’ (background processes only) at just 1.2 GHz, rather than flat-out at 2.7 GHz. It only ramps-up when the work load increases, and then only in increments of 200MHz. This means that it is also good for over-clocking by 30% without extra cooling (I’ve tried it), as the stepping function keeps the ‘idle’ rate to a mere 1.56 GHz.
I recently picked up an e5400 at Fry’s for a cheapo media center PC. Do you have any budget minded motherboard suggestions? Preferably under $80.
@GogiRB my E5200 is rated 5.9 in windows 7 without overclock
i need the intel pentium dual core animation i cant find that
i have this chip and its nice and fast
