Gigabyte EX58 Intense NO POST, NO BIOS, Black screen
Right after typical/standard shut down, personal computer would not boot BIOS, would not display POST screen at all. All i get is Black display. Motherboard powers every single element, ventilators are all on max, debug LED reveals error code 88. I tried virtually each trick in the book to get laptop or computer back to existence, but at the end did not realize success. This is what i have done so far: – eliminated every single element one by a single right up until only CPU and MBO were left – tested with distinct PSU – tested with various GPU – tested with diverse RAM – tested each RAM socket combination – tested with an additional BIOS battery – reset BIOS with few distinct combinations – leave MBO with out BIOS battery for 36hrs – tested CPU alone with diverse MBO This is my personal computer configuration: ——- CPU: i7 920 MBO: Gigabyte GA-EX58-Intense RAM: 3x2GB 1600MHz Corsair TR3X6G1600C9 6GB KIT VGA: BFG 9800GT 1GB PSU: Corsair 750TXEU ——-

A few reasons as follows:
A defective battery
Bad connection to the battery holder
Bad connection from the battery holder to the motherboard
Could be a bios error
Defective motherboard
you really dont need a batter it is just used for your clock and stuff like that I had mine out for 7 days cause it told me that i had low battery plus check and make sure there is a good connection if it is the right way and or say bye bye to your mobo
Hi,did you place the battery in the right way (with the lettering facing you).If you have,then it could be a faulty battery or dirty contacts.Also,check to see if the battery is seated correctly in the battery holder.
