overclocking ram ddr3 question by : Overclocking RAM – Need to have some assist?
I got Corsair’s XMS3 Dual Channel DDR3 four GIGS of ram and its 1600 Mhz but at the minute its running at 1333 cuz to get its optimal overall performance I would to have overclock it.

I tried the XMP (Intense memory profile) but the difficulty is that it instantly overclocks the processor a little bit which I do not want cuz I am making use of Stock heat sink so I have to do it manually which I do not know how it’s accomplished (excuse me I am a newbie in overclocking)

So I would choose the manual profile and then do what? I study the manual of Ram and timing and so on are there which I would have to enter and the required voltage is 1.65

Intel Sandy Bridge Core i7 2600k @ three.4 Ghz
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 4 GB @ 1600 MHZ
XFX Nvidia GTS 250 (one GIG)
Asus P8P67
Windows seven | SP1 x64

Is it required that I have to do it from the BIOS or can I use the Asus overclocking software that came with the Motherboard.

The hell you overclocking i7 on that ram and gfx card for? Not even necessary.

If you overclock, it will slowly destroy ur pc and if u need to overclock it with those specs, you will most likely kill it faster.

Its not even essential to overclock that.
