Driver Video Card Windows 7

driver video card windows seven question by : I got a new mobo and processor nowadays, but I am possessing significant driver problems with my video card (Windows 7).?
So, I got a new motherboard right now, turning my old dusty Compaq into a mighty house-produced-from-scratch laptop or computer after and for all. I’ve had a actually old video card which I plan to replace soon anyway for awhile (a Radeon x1300 with 256 MB of RAM – a video card from /5 a long time ago/). I did a clean set up of Windows 7, as is standard of a new mobo and processor, and I’ve discovered, a lot to my dismay, that the computer has made a decision that the video card drivers are really worth abusing.
The new mobo lacks onboard video, and I have reseated the outdated motherboard in another case and given it to a pal who required a pc, so I’m SOL at present. Allow me to clarify: For awhile, my boot up was running fine – Windows seven seemed to smoothly function, and that’s what I had expected. Following all, the video card was completely fine on the previous set up, and it ran for many months. Right after a little even though, though, I would get tics – “ATI Radeon Family driver has crashed. It has succesfully recovered.” I used to get these before when I was making an attempt to run S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and I do owe that to the simple fact that it is a degrading piece of engineering. Now, however, it has turn out to be malicious. The personal computer screen has gone /permanently black/ immediately after log-in to my Windows seven account. I was ready to boot into secure mode and uninstall the old driver, which created it operate until finally I set up the driver once again.
I ran for about 50 minutes till, although setting up iTunes, the laptop or computer display phased into utter darkness. Furthermore, I was seeing artifacts although taking part in Spelunky… Which is a really lo-fi pixel game that could run on a public school pc with relative ease. I’m not confident where these driver concerns have suddenly come from, and I plan to substitute the video card anyway… But, is this one thing that can be remedied with a video card that has modern drivers? I’m not particular of the supply of the problem.
Sorry for the tldr query, but it is a difficult issue.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an internationally published pc game o,o.
The RAM’s fine with the motherboard, my knowing is that if it have been incompatible, the personal computer would be unable to boot. I’ll try out running a driver sweep on the pc, and I assume I’m going to get a new video card quickly. On yet another note, what video card in the $ 100-ish variety would you advocate? I am not too concerned with excellent graphics, but I like being able to play contemporary video games.
