thanks for the concern gregory, but I currently strategy to replace this ram on October 22nd when Windows 7 arises and I won’t be limited by two gigabytes of RAM (or more accurately to say, I will really require more than 2 gigs of ram). If the RAM dies its not the finish of the globe.

I can not tell you how much you’re going to be capable to get out of your overclock. It depends on too several factors temperatures, processors, motherboards, memory, age of the parts, particular builds of the elements, and so on, and so on.
To do it appropriate, you ought to increase the speed a tiny bit at a time, and boot the program to make sure it really is stable. Technically, when overclocking RAM, you would want to run a memtest to make certain it in fact IS stable, due to the fact it’s really attainable for it to appear stable, but crash when underneath load. This, nonetheless, requires a very lengthy time, so I generally just do a pseudo-pressure check by undertaking the most demanding issues I would do on my laptop or computer, such as playing a technically taxing game although getting a number of other issues running.

iMac (mid 2011) Compatible,
Apple charges between $200 and $600 for a RAM upgrade. You can do this easily at home with minimal knowledge and save BIG $$$.
This is one of Apple’s OEM hardware choices; it performs impeccably, meets all specifications, will not void your warranty and you will notice $$$ well spent difference.
Works flawlessly in a Mid 2011 27″ iMac 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR iMac BUYERS:
iMac RAM SLOTS ARE VERY VERY VERY TIGHT (one of the tightest that I have seen). These are LOW PROFILE sticks, which means that they will be seated well into your iMac. Upon install they will “click” into place approximately 3-5mm deeper than the other RAM in place, you will need to go in another 2-3mm. Start on one side and wiggle it in, you will have to push. AGAIN, THE iMac’s HAVE SOME OF THE TIGHTEST SLOTS.

|Perfect! ?!$&ing Blazing Fast! Go for 16GB! 2011 iMac21.5″,
So this ram is identical to what you’ll be pulling out. Its also a very tight fit
Remember how hard it is when you pull the first ram module out as a gauge for how hard it will be to push the others back in. I found it easiest to push the top one in first and then pushing in the bottom one, almost bracing steady against the first. However doing the bottom first could give you more room for you fat fingered folk. If you get a loud medium toned “beep”, then they are not pushed in all the way. Enjoy saving yourself $425 from what Mr. Job’s charges for this upgrade! So easy a Caveman could do it.

|No brainer for Lenovo X220,
I have purchased Lenovo X220 with 4GB installed. Max RAM supported is 8GB, so after doing careful research I selected Samsung RAM.
After opening the computer (3 labeled screws on the bottom) I found almost identical module inside – the only difference is that Lenovo Samsung module is made in China, and Amazon’s Samsung module is made in Korea.
So far so good – everything works, no freezes or any other signals of upcoming cataclysm. Just as expected from OEM RAM.
To sum it up: X220 with 8GB from Lenovo – extra $160. 4GB module from Amazon – $47.99. $112 saved with no downsides. It is a no brainer at these prices.
