@Rangha2000 E8400 is a LGA 775 processor, while this i7 processor is LGA 1366 processor. You will need a LGA 1366 socket motherboard to install this processor.

can you exchange an intel core 2 duo e8400 with this intel core i7 processor or do i have to buy a new motherboard and everything ? and does this require a better cooling ?
